HISTORICAL
Scott Waters and Wil Kucey Gallery are excited to host an open studio of the artist’s recent works at the gallery on February 10,11,12.
Owing to the fact that his studio is based in Etobicoke, and people regularly get lost trying to find it, Scott thought an easy, central location would be best (with its access to good coffee, baked-goods and beer— for both visitors and the artist himself).
Over the last few years, Waters’ practice has moved almost exclusively towards ideas around disappearance, transformation and (perhaps inevitably) nothingness. These often small-scale ink drawings pair narrative moments of moments and spaces at the edge of the known with a similarly monastic practice of ink, brush and paper.
The open studio will take place between 1100 and 1700 hours on February 10, 11 and 12 at Wil Kucey Gallery, 1183 Dundas St. W., Toronto ON. Please stop by and say hello, and/or email the gallery with any questions
